State-run HAL said it will compete for licence manufacturing of India’s AMCA fighter jet even if its consortium is not shortlisted to build prototypes. CMD DK Sunil said manufacturing is a separate stage expected around 2035, and missing the prototype phase does not exclude HAL from large-scale production.
